Meet the Pros

Chas Sarlund

Chas Sarlund, Head Golf Professional

Chas Sarlund's passion for golf developed when he was 11, caddying at Bloomfield Hills Country Club in his hometown of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. As the head golf professional at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club, he maintains his dedication to the game and those who play it through day-to-day golf operations.

Chas joined Fiddler's Elbow Country Club in 2003 as an assistant professional, following six years as head professional at Partridge Creek Golf Club in Clinton Township, Michigan. He has served as president of the Southern Chapter of the Michigan PGA and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Michigan PGA.

Named head professional at Fiddler's Elbow in 2007, Chas has a degree in business and Professional Golf Management from Ferris State University, the original Professional Golf Management Program in the country. Chas took his first professional position in 1992, as first assistant at Plainfield Country Club in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Kathy Hart Wood

Kathy Hart Wood, LPGA Teaching Professional

Kathy Hart Wood's insightful and top-notch teaching skills have made her a celebrated teacher. She has traveled the world, competing on European, Korean, Australian and South African tours. She founded the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Club of South Florida, an organization designed to foster interest in golf by girls ages 7-17 through creative clinics and social competition.

Originally from Buffalo, New York and a graduate of Furman University, Kathy is a member of the LPGA's Teaching and Club Professionals and has served as the lead instructor for the Golf for Women Schools by Nicklaus/Flick.

Doug Graubard

Doug Graubard, Golf Events Manager

Constantly creating new and innovative concepts for corporate and charitable events, Doug Graubard plays a vital role in the Club's many successful golf outings.

A native of Plainfield, New Jersey, Doug graduated with a business degree from James Madison University, with a concentration in hospitality and tourism management. The cooperative environment at Fiddler's Elbow has been his ally in establishing and maintaining superb golf business relationships.

A single-digit player since he was 15, Doug worked his way from the caddy program at Twin Brooks Country Club in Watchung, New Jersey to become general manager from 1998-2003.
