Forest Course Hole by Hole Description
Front Side: Par 36, Black 3592, Blue 3420, White 3179, Red 2572
Back Side: Par 36, Black 3536, Blue 3296, White 3083, Red 2582
Overall: Par 72, Black 7128, Blue 6716, White 6262, Red 5154
Par 4, Black 384, Blue 362, White 333, Red 268
This scenic hole is a pleasant welcome to the round. Straightway off the tee, there is ample fairway to avoid the right bunker. The large, receptive green is bunkers on both sides.
Par 4, Black 430, Blue 411, White 382, Red 350
Although downhill, the wind can affect club selection, in that a solid drive may still leave a long iron to the green. Drifting left, or carrying beyond the green often leads to trouble.
Par 5, Black 540, Blue 518, White 490, Red 426
A lack of severe length is countered by the most bunkers on the course – a dozen from tee to green – that come into play on virtually every shot. A simple hole if the sand is avoided.
Par 4, Black 402, Blue 382, White 354, Red 287
This uphill challenge is the quintessential “plays longer than the yardage” hole. The key to the approach is carrying the large bunker on the left-front of a green that widens in the rear.
Par 4, Black 451, Blue 431, White 405, Red 286
The longest par 4 on the course requires two solid shots to reach the green in regulation. Getting up and down from the front of the green is easier than negotiating the greenside bunkers.
Par 3, Black 180, Blue 169, White 152, Red 118
Rated the easiest hole on the front side, the target is a large, but well-bunkered green that is narrow in front, but offers more room toward the back, both left and right.
Par 4, Black 439, Blue 421, White 396, Red 289
Another solid two-shot test, the hole plays long and straight. The approach is to a narrow green with bunkering on the left. Being short is more forgiving than being left.
Par 3, Black 183, Blue 165, White 145, Red 125
An expansive sand area between the tee and green adds some suspense to the carry. Proper club selection is essential to hit the correct quadrant of the green and avoid a three-putt.
Par 5, Black 583, Blue 561, White 522, Red 423
A three-shot test, the narrow fairway leads to a long line of bunkers that hug the right side of the approach. The sloping green can set up some dangerous downhill putts.
Par 4, Black 392, Blue 369, White 342, Red 286
Accuracy off the tee is fundamental, with fairway bunkers along the right posing potential disaster. A wide bunker guards the right front entrance to the green.
Par 5, Black 506, Blue 485, White 460, Red 395
A dogleg left with bunkering along the fairway, the green is reachable in two. But it’s just as possible to set up a birdie with an accurate third shot into the sloping green.
Par 4, Black 425, Blue 379, White 353, Red 279
This dogleg left demands two forced carries, both from the tee and to the green, with little room for error anywhere along the way.
Par 3, Black 157, Blue 141, White 129, Red 111
The shortest hole on the course features a large green, with wind direction a key influence. The green has a large bunker on the front left and two smaller bunkers on the sides.
Par 4, Black 466, Blue 447, White 422, Red 385
Uphill and often into the wind, this straightaway fairway provides some space away from a left fairway bunker. The approach must avoid the deep bunker left of the green.
Par 4, Black 379, Blue 352, White 307, Red 278
A bit of a “reprieve” hole, the downhill fairway has a long bunker stretched along the left side. The green has only one small bunker in its defense, front-right.
Par 4, Black 415, Blue 390, White 367, Red 291
The challenge of this dogleg right is to keep the tee shot on the left side of the fairway. Bunkers guard the right, from the corner to the green, which can present many difficult putts.
Par 3, Black 194, Blue 174, White 154, Red 125
Considered the signature hole of the Forest Course, the shimmering blue pond reflects the intimidation of the full carry to the green. There is bail-out room short and left.
Par 5, Black 602, Blue 559, White 549, Red 432
The longest hole on the course keeps the water in play from the tee, all along the right. The narrow fairway leads to a string of bunkers on the right near the wide green.
